As a member of that Committee, I can tell you weve been fortunate to have such an able replacement for Jaime Caruana, the former Committee Chair. But believe it or not, Im not going to talk about Basel -- well, not the whole time anyway. As risk professionals, I suspect you dont spend all of your time on Basel, any more than I do. My job is to make sure we have a healthy, effective national banking system, and while capital standards are certainly a part of that, theyre still only a part. 1.
