Players earn points for hits, walks, stolen bases, home runs, runs scored, and runs batted in. Players lose points for striking out or making errors. Each week, you will find the sum of the points earned by your players. The object of the game is to accumulate the highest number of points. How to Select Players There are two options for selecting players. Your teacher will decide which option your class will use. You have a salary cap of $40,000,000. This is the total amount you can spend on player values. Select 13 players for the positions listed in Table 1. Your instructor will provide you with a list of players and their values. Your teacher will also tell you whether you will select pitchers.
