Content Inside: ERASMUS HOSPITAL DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY POSITION IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND CANCER Description The laboratory of Pathology provides a complete range of anatomic and clinical diagnostic and consultation services. Some of the major areas of clinical research and teaching in the laboratory include immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, fine needle aspiration biopsy and surgical pathology. The goal of research is to extend our knowledge of the mechanisms of disease with focus on particular family of glycoproteins named galectins studies as markers of several tumours and pathology. Job Description We are seeking for a post-doctoral fellow with a strong interest in cancer biology, going from identification (microarray, tissue array) and characterisation (in vitro and in vivo assays) to the development of new diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers (genes and/or proteins) and transfer to clinic. Our laboratory is specialised in cancer biology, with identification and use of new clinical cancer markers. The applicant will have to take in charge the characterisation
