Content Inside: 555P Ford PATS ­ Wiring & Applications Addendum The 555P has been found to respond better using a negative ignition output instead of the Blue status output of the alarm/remote star t. The diagram below shows how to connect the 555P using either a newer unit (diagram 1) with mini-relays or the older units (diagram 2) with standard relays. MAKE Mercury Mercury Ford Ford NOTE: The 555P will not work on the following vehicles listed below. MODEL Cougar YEAR All years All years All years All years Mystique Contour Explorer Sport Trac XRCS, 561T/P Newer Unit Diagram 1 Newer unit with mini-relays 4-pin Note: Newer 555Ps have PINK wire, older 555Ps have BLUE wire.
