Content Inside: The Sports Dietetics Internship is part of the Sports Dietetics Emphasis. Only students accepted into the Sports Dietetics Emphasis will be placed into this internship. The Sports Dietetics Internship includes food service (120 hrs), community nutrition (80-120 hrs), and advanced practice experience (200 hrs). The Sports Dietetics Internship is designed to integrate scientific principles of nutrition as they relate to exercise and sports. Accepted students pursuing the Sports Dietetics Emphasis will obtain supervised training in various aspects of sports dietetics. Several sites are included for the internship experience. Nutrition Clinic at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT: an applied learning center focused on the University of Utah student athletes and the Universitys Student Athlete Wellness Team as well as health and fitness programs that integrate nutrition on campus and in the community. Students will learn to develop sport nutrition programs for teams and individual athletes, update and write
