He trained as a cargo control specialist in the Navy and National Guard, where he specialized in cranes and rigging. After his Navy service, he worked in production and warehousing operations utilizing many types of production machinery as well as overhead rail systems and forklifts. Other assignments included paint booth operations and welding. Four years as operations manager for Mighty Metal / Simpson Strong-Tie Corp. gives Jack insight on the difficulties of meeting production demands while complying with OSHA requirements for safety and training. Jack is an OSHA Training Institute authorized instructor for General Industry and Construction 10 & 30 hour courses. Jack has served as a volunteer
