Its a bittersweet time for these 986 graduates, but when our deans hand them their diplomas and I shake each hand on May 20, I feel confident that they leave here energized and well prepared to handle professional, social, civic and personal responsibilities. The conclusion of each academic year is filled with ceremonies in which we recognize students from all around campus for their exemplary efforts in academics, athletics, and community involvement.
